Earlier in December I decided that, as I’ve done the previous two years, to do a massive blogging project reflecting on the past year.
I started off well with very good intentions. I decided to go with #projectreflect12 and even signed up for the daily email prompts.
But then, the month of December went into full swing and I got lost in the end of the semester crunch. Add dissertation writing, data collection, and academic job interviews into the mix and you end up with a grad student who simply could not find the time to sit down and write.
Well it is now January 1, 2013. 2012 is over and a new year has started. I had resolved to just forget about the blogging and hope to try again next year.
But then I realized that I’ve always looked forward to my reverb posts. They really helped me think about all that has happened in the past year, and what I hope to accomplish in the next 12 months. And so, with that said, I’ve decided to move forward with the blogging. I’ll just do it all a month late.
And that, my friends, is what I will set out to do in January vs. December. I am much more available in January anyway. I won’t do what I did 2 years ago and write 22 blog posts in 2 days, haha. It will be much more spread out, I promise. 🙂
