Better Late Than Never, Right?

After much thought, I have decided to create this blog to respond to the #reverb10 prompts. But why now, when it is a day before the deadline?

No, I didn’t hear about the initiative this late in the game. In fact, I knew about #reverb1o for most of December, and was very tempted to start earlier in the month. However, I was very hesitant to participate because I knew that there was no way I’d be able to write a post every day for 31 days, especially when I can’t even keep up with my own personal blog on a monthly basis. Also the fact that I was wrapping up the end of the fall semester and had tons of presentations, papers, and grading to do, I knew that it would probably not be possible.

Fast forward to today – where I have been home for about a week now for winter break. No more papers. No more grading. And a helluva lot of time to think back and reflect on 2010. Now that school is on hold for the time being, I am in the mood to write, and think about how I felt about this past year.

And so I decided to create this blog. And I am fully intending to answer all of the prompts. Because I’ve always worked best under a deadline. And because I think this is an amazing way to learn more about myself.

So though this is all extremely late, better late than never right?
